Gerardo Rios Garcia

Gerardo Rios Garcia, BBA (ITESM); MS (Columbia), is an MPhil candidate in Environmental Policy at the University of Cambridge (Lucy Cavendish College). He serves as a Sustainable Energy Consultant with UNICEF’s Climate, Energy, Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction team, supporting global initiatives to expand energy access for schools, health centres, and WASH systems.

He has previously contributed to projects with UN DESA, Marsh McLennan, Grupo México, and The Climate Reality Project, and held leadership roles at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies. Passionate about sustainability, equity, and evidence-based policy, he has lived and worked in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
