
Renatus Otto Franz Derler
Renatus Otto Franz Derler, LLB (Buckingham); LLM, MPhil (Cantab), is an incoming PhD candidate focusing on Public International Law at the University of Cambridge. He has studied at Oxford, Buckingham, and Cambridge, specialising in diplomacy, public international law, and international environmental law. He is the Managing Editor of the Cambridge International Law Journal (CILJ) and Blog Manager of the CILJ Blog. Renatus convened the 13th Annual CILJ Conference in 2024 and will serve as the next Editor-in-Chief of the CILJ for 2024/2025. He is also a research assistant for the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. His research focuses on public international law, international environmental law, climate change law, and dispute settlement mechanisms. He speaks English, German, Slovak, and Czech.
