Prof Laura Diaz Anadon, PhD (Cambridge), MSc (Manchester), is a distinguished academic and policy specialist in climate change and environmental governance. She holds the chaired Professorship of Climate Change Policy at the University of Cambridge, where she directs the Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (CEENRG) and is a Fellow at St. John’s College. She is also a Board Member of the Cambridge Conservation Research Institute and an Affiliate at the Belfer Center, Harvard Kennedy School (Visiting Scholar 2021–2022).

Before joining Cambridge in 2017, she served as an Assistant Professor of Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School from 2013 to 2016, acting as Associate Director of the Science, Technology and Public Policy program. As a Lead Author for the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report on Climate Change Mitigation, she advises on decarbonization policies with the UK Treasury and the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate, where she is Vice-Chair. Her work has earned the XVII Fundacion Banco Sabadell Prize, a Visiting Professorship at Tsinghua University, and a Senior Fellowship from the JM Keynes Fellowship Fund.

Prof Diaz Anadon holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge, a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester.
