Adv McDermott is a U.S. lawyer currently serving as Senior Advisor of Democratising Education for Global Sustainability and Justice. She is also a manager of the Climate Law and Governance Initiative and Associate Fellow of the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law. Her previous experiences include clerking at Williamson Law + Policy on cases involving the U.S. phasedown of hydrofluorocarbons and serving as a fellow in the inaugural cohort of the Carbon Removal Justice Fellowship hosted by the National Wildlife Federation and American University’s Institute for Carbon Removal Law & Policy. Her research interests focus on the intersection of climate change, environmental justice, and human rights law.
